I don’t data much

We are getting settled into our new routine. I’m also working on packing up some of our stuff already. I know we are moving back in 3 weeks pending what Alex’s doctors think. We have to go up for his appointment so they can run some tests but they said during his assessment they will tell me if he can fly yet or not. I’m pretty sure he’s fine and can fly, finally. We will no longer be held here and I decided it’s time to get back home. I really have enjoyed being in Colorado Springs. Taking the kids on day field trips has been fun. I am still trying to avoid huge crowds because of Alex but I am finding things to do that I think my kids would enjoy. This city has a lot to offer family life. It was a thought to stay here but I really miss Chicago.

Jen and I had a late night date. It was a huge surprise, she showed up at my door unexpectedly. I didn’t know if something was wrong or not but then she laid a giant kiss on me and said she wanted to come in. Okay. What’s going on here? The rest of the details are private but I sent her home with breakfast so she could get ready for work Lol Your boy is back! So much for keeping things casual. She said knowing that I’m leaving soon it was something she wanted to do and she doesn’t regret it at all. I don’t regret it even though I know it was probably wrong in some sense since we aren’t in love. I did ask her if she was in love with me and she said no, she just really liked me a lot and thinks I’ve been nicer to her than any guy she’s known. That’s kind of sad, isn’t it? I know I’m a nice guy and I know not pressuring her about anything at all may have made her feel very comfortable, I just wonder who the heck has she been dating? Geez.

Mike’s mom is coming down this weekend to stay. She’s going to check out the house and we are going to enter a formal contract. Mike’s lease is up soon and he has already asked to pay the remainder of his stay at his apartment at a specified move out date. His landlord is cool with it. I’m having a contractor go over there this weekend to fix all the stupid things him and his friends have broken so he has a better chance at getting his security deposit back. I don’t understand why these kids need to hang up so much stuff on their walls but it looks like mini darts have been at war over there. It’s ridiculous.

What else? Guys, I swear everything is calm and boring. I love it. I have been trying out some new recipes. I’ve found some new vegan places to eat here. That’s about it. I almost don’t even know what to write but I also know my fans in, let me go look, South Africa, United Kingdom, Germany, Sweden, Norway, Netherlands, Ireland, etc. In the U.S. my biggest reader group comes from California. I have a loyal reader in Parker, Colorado who comes here at least twice a day to read my blog. Well at least that’s where her IP comes up with her Comcast Business internet and her Windows 10 Chrome browser. I’m also big in Provo, Utah, Tennessee, San Diego, and of course my hometown, Chicago. Let’s see who else comes a lot, oh I like the few that try to use hideproxy.me to view my blog Lol Their proxy doesn’t work here because I can still see their original information. Yes there’s a plugin you can install for free that reverse the proxy info. Roscoe Illinois, no clue where that’s at. Lots of Ipad batfans. We all know how much I love gadgets. Even some Barnes and Noble Nook HD+ fans. Very interesting stuff.

I’m an analytical geek. I love looking at my blog stats. Google has so many great charts and things to compile up all of my visitors data. I even know what mobile phone you guys use to read this blog. It’s very cool. The Google analytic plugin is free. I have also paid for my statcounter.com account for over 6 years now. Combined they track all kinds of interesting information for me to see who my readers are. Comparing the 2 the data is all the same. I don’t even need both but some of the statcounter charts are more in-depth. Plus they give me a discount every year when I pay the yearly plan and their tech support people have become some of my friends. My blog unites people Lol At some of my book signings some women said they actually met each other because of my blog. They went over to our Facebook group and started commenting back and forth until they made new friendships. That’s cool. It’s a private group I’ve had running for 6 years that I’ve never mentioned here but I have almost 30,000 group members in there. It’s been fun. And I’m able to kick out any trolls that try to use a fake Facebook account to peek then slam me in the comments. My batfans destroy them and then send me a text letting me know to kick whoever off. I love it. It’s really cool knowing that my blog reaches all kinds of different countries. I knew I’m well-known in the states because of all the FREE media coverage I got. I didn’t realize internationally my story was something of interest.

Today is all about hanging out at home. I was going to take my kids out but we have been running around during the day a lot. I want to stay home and work on our colors and numbers. The boys are doing numbers after the 2 weeks of colors. I’m trying to give them extra help. We are again, going to use socks. It works and when they decide it’s time to throw them no one gets hurt Lol

I’ve been working out a lot. I have my workout machine here. I love it. I feel so much better after a good 45 minute grind session. I’m also trying to stay in shape because I have to. My kids need an active dad.

I hope everyone eats healthy today, has a great day at work or whatever you are doing, and comes back tomorrow. I love you guys! Have a good day.

  1. I use the same analytics programs. Where would site owners be without them? From tracking trolls to seeing your friends come on to finding out what people like to read most…

    • I love the new live option in Statcounter.com with the upgraded account. I can see anytime someone comes onto my blog. I have that app on my Ipad. It’s very cool. Google does a great job too with their analytics. I like seeing which of my posts get read the most but also which city/state is coming the most. It shows how many times each visitor has come. Makes it much easier to ban the stalkers Lol They seem to click click click my site over 10 times a day looking for something new. That’s also why I got rid of my subscribe button. I didn’t want them signing up.
